Exploring the World
Hanoi

Hanoi has a serious national competitor in Ho Chi Minh in terms of tech activity and entrepreneurs' attractiveness.
The event agenda is relatively quiet, and I thought I would not find any event about startups in Hanoi during my stay. Yet, I got really lucky, I finally attended two events about Artificial intelligence, namely in Edtech and Agritech, and I also met an AI company. Surprisingly, the events attracted a lot a people, with very few people actually working in AI.
On the other hand both were very exiting to get mire insight about this novelty and potentially new path for them.
That how you can feel that people in Hanoi are really impatient to see the local ecosystem growing and get more tech-savvy.
The AI sector is actually quite representative of Vietnam's ecosystem. The country has a solid pool of talents in software development, really attractive for overseas company to build low cost new product. Yet, the developers need to develop new skills, more specialised, and get a better understanding of the latest technologies, in order to bring a higher and distinctive value to the market.

Remarkable places
Up Coworking space
Just for the fun. With Stark-designed chairs, a napping area and other very cool places to have a seat, it is one of the coolest place of my journey. Mostly Vietnamese independent workers, you also find there foreigner using the free-day pass to enjoy some time in this very attractive space.

Hanoi Innovation Hub
This place is the symbol of the Korean-Vietnam collaboration.
Stepping out of the shadow of this hyperactive and massive nation, China, is difficult and both of these countries know that. Based on this commonalty the two countries developed several business cooperations, and namely the Innovation Hub which hosts and support several Korean companies in the Vietnamese market. The only requirement is to demonstrate something innovative.
