Hong Kong

 

The city has made its reputation as a Financial place, and will definitely fight to keep this reputation. Unsurprisingly, the startup community in mainly implied in the Fintech sector. Still, it is not because other sectors do not have the promotion power of "HK finance" label that they are not presents. Actually, HK is a very good location to establish a Asian branch, for its tax incentives of course, but also for its situation in the middle of Asia, and last but not least, its english-speaking environment.

On one hand, it is not the best time for tech startups there yet, where the supporting actors are still emerging (incubators and accelerators), in the other hand, the city offer a perfect collection of coworking spaces enabling any freelance or overseas business developer to find a great environment to work.

Also, Hong Kong will host RISE 2017 on July 11-13 which will attract the etch sphere from all Asia and beyond.
