Bangkok

The startup scene is still very young and the city seems to be more attractive to design and artistic entrepreneurs than tech actors. The pioneers sound complaining at the government lack of support or incitative policies. Most of the new business are focus on e-commerce and other platforms or web services.
Still the country seems to be kind of isolated in the Asian landscape regarding business expansion.
Which let local players to establish easily before overseas company get into the competition.

FabCafe
Remarkably, this small community fablab has built very significant partnerships with well-known industrials such as ABB or AutoDesk, and also with the successful IoT player, LittleBits.
In fact, the space is very active in the makers community and often provide good press to their partners. For instance, they have realised a huge graffiti using an ABB robotic arm. And here again, Autodesk is the default software for all members to do 2D/3D work.
