Seoul

What do you know about korea before actually visiting it... Samsung... K-pop... Gangnam style... (Not much) And yet these few flagships are actually revealing about the nation.

Samsung is the symbol of a success any parents want for its children and at the same time the archetype of the corporate system that is so criticized by the new generation.

K-pop is such a demonstration of the cultural hidden force, inevitably dragging every korean into fashion and popular trends.

Lastly, Gangnam style is a parody of this incredible energy you feel in Seoul, especially in Gangnam neighborhood, emulating the business and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

Techno Valley

Located outside the city of Seoul, in Pangyo, this area is hosting many high-tech companies you never heard about. They are mostly B2B, 2nd or 3rd tier hardware manufacturers and IT companies.

In this area, you can also find the newly open Startup campus. Hosting plenty of different tech startup for cheaper prices than city center, the place is also full of additional services. Gym, infirmary, makerspace, restaurants, and a bunch of specific entrepreneurship services, for some very fair prices.

Remarkable places

Tips Town

As the government's arm of entrepreneurship, you can find all the support you need from your startup team, and as many office desks as you want, but the real purpose of the place is to educate Korean about startups, mostly to break all the cultural barriers they have toward entrepreneurship, and learn how to build things using software or 3D printers.

SEOUL

Campus Seoul by Google

Maybe one of the rare english-speaking places for entrepreneurs, this place acts like a refuge for foreign startupers.

I can't say that Google is actually managing the community, but the people inside are maybe naturally more keen to talk to eachothers and help others.
